The Berkshires are known for their beautiful and abundant natural landscape. Nestled between the Taconic Mountains and Berkshire Hills, the Berkshires have mountains, forests, and waterways that support important habitat areas while offering great scenery to enjoy. These great resources also support endless outdoor recreation options, including climbing to the top of the state’s highest peak.
We are working as a region to:
- Preserve Sensitive and Diverse Environments
- Preserve a Connected Open Space and Park System
- Balance Scenic Landscape Protection with Other Regional Objectives
